Game Features
Playtech’s Age of the Gods slot series is renowned for its high-paying jackpots and engaging features. Now, all of that excitement comes to the Roulette table. It’s not just a case of the provider slapping a theme on a classic release either. This is European Roulette gameplay that’s packed full of bonuses and progressive jackpots, as well as plenty of helpful features to help you manage your time at the table. Let’s take a look at what’s on offer.
Racetrack & Special Bets: As well as the traditional table view, you can access a range of special bets via the racetrack. Swap views by clicking the racetrack display beneath the Roulette wheel and you’ll be able to instantly place bets on Tiers du Cylindre, Orphelins and Voisins du Zéro.
Autoplay: For more convenient spins, enable autoplay. Hold down the spin button and you’ll have the option to set a number of automatic spins. We found this extremely handy when we were trying to trigger the bonus. We simply set our bets, sat back and relaxed as we watched the wins roll in.
Age of the Gods Bonus: Although Age of the Gods Roulette is a single-zero game, there’s an extra pocket on the wheel. This is for the Age of the Gods Bonus. Place a bet on the bonus segment and if the ball lands in the purple pocket you’ll activate a single-line slot bonus that offers prizes worth up to 300x your stake. While it isn’t the easiest bonus to trigger, it certainly gets the adrenaline pumping when it does. You get three spins and you’re guaranteed at least one win, ranging from 4:1 to 299:1. You don’t have to do anything. You just watch as the reels spin and hope to land three matching symbols. We had a €2 bet on the bonus when it landed and the reels rolled in two wins, one for 50x and another for 25x – much better than a straight-up win!
Age of the Gods Jackpot: The Age of the Gods Jackpot feature is the key attraction of any of the games in this Playtech series. There are some absolutely huge payouts on offer – when we were playing, the Ultimate Power Jackpot was worth over €400,000! It isn’t a type of side bet; it’s a random bonus and you can win on any spin. There are four progressive prizes available and their value is calculated from all bets placed on all AotG Jackpot games among all online casinos that offer these titles. Although we didn’t get lucky enough to see it happen, it’s a straightforward pick-and-match feature. 20 gold coins appear and you simply pick until you select three matching symbols, at which point you win the corresponding jackpot. It’s simple, it’s elegant and it has immense payout potential.
Age of Gods Roulette Verdict
With our regular bets, we won quite often on Age of the Gods Roulette. So, even though it has a lower RTP than traditional European Roulette games, it still has some great payout potential. The layout is easy on the eyes and it’s presented simply enough that even newer players can get to grips with everything almost instantly. Our only bugbear is the game doesn’t feature custom bets. It isn’t a deal-breaker but it’s something we know more experienced Roulette players will miss.
Still, overall, Age of the Gods Roulette has massive appeal. The various betting functions and wide-ranging table limits will attract expert spinners, while the potential for high-paying bonuses and huge jackpots will surely draw new players to the table.

Mega Fire Blaze Roulette: An earlier release from Playtech (2017), Mega Fire Blaze Roulette set the scene ablaze with its unique Fire Blast feature and four fixed jackpots. It’s the perfect game for fans of the European version who want more than regular Roulette payouts. Land a straight-up selection and if it has a fiery rim around it you enter the Mega Fire Blaze Bonus Round. Keep spinning to land increased multipliers and if you’re lucky enough you could win the Grand Jackpot worth 2,000x your stake!
Dragon Jackpot Roulette: Want a high RTP Roulette game with bonus features and jackpots? Well, Dragon Jackpot Roulette (98.3% RTP) from Playtech is the perfect fit. On each spin, you can place golden squares on up to 12 numbers. Place a straight-up bet on these selections and if it wins, you trigger the bonus round, where respins and epic multipliers await. Plus, activate the Dragon Jackpot Bonus and any spin, even those you don’t win on, can lead to one of four huge progressive jackpots. It’s got all of the glitz and glamour of Age of the Gods Roulette but what we liked most is that you get more control over the bonus and it has a much higher RTP!
