Spribe promises a simplified and reimagined version of the classic table game and it certainly manages to deliver. Mini Roulette is an incredibly basic version, featuring a tiny roulette wheel with just twelve numbers to bet on.

Game Features

Mini Roulette has also simplified its feature set, offering just a handful of functions that will help you along the way. While we understand the want to be as minimal as possible with the features associated with a ‘mini’ version of roulette, we would have appreciated having some additional functionality.

The game could have easily included functions like double bet and autoplay without breaking the ‘mini’ aspect of the game. What makes it worse, is that the functions that have been implemented like undo, clear and re-bet are quite confusing. The entire layout feels a bit rushed and could have used a more intuitive, user-friendly design.

Re-bet: As the most prominent feature in Mini Roulette, re-bet allows you to place the same wagers you had on a previous round. So, instead of manually having to place chips on the wagering table, you can simply repeat everything with the click of a button. It’s a staple in most online roulette games, and to be honest we would have been surprised if this feature was missing. But it’s safe to say that Mini Roulette’s re-bet function does what it says on the tin.

Undo: For some strange reason, Mini Roulette has decided to call the undo function ‘back’. It’s a pretty confusing word to use in these circumstances, as it might imply somehow going back to a previous bet. Ultimately the function successfully undoes your previous action, but we would have liked to see more user-friendly wording being used here.

Cancel: Yet another basic feature that Mini Roulette offers; the cancel button effectively removes all of your wagers from the table. It does the trick and we had to use it quite a few times, especially because Mini Roulette insists on not automatically clearing any chips on the table that would have formed part of a win on the previous round.

Betting Options: As expected, Mini Roulette offers a more limited set of betting options. Apart from setting individual bets on specific numbers on the wheel, you can also bet on odds, evens, as well as numbers between one to six and numbers between seven and twelve.

Mini Roulette Verdict

Spribe certainly manages to condense the classic roulette experience with Mini Roulette, but it isn’t without its fair share of shortcomings. To begin with, the game is missing some key functionality like double bet and autoplay, which would have made gameplay a lot faster and more intuitive.

But the worst thing here is the fact that by reducing the set of numbers you can bet on, Mini Roulette has essentially increased the house edge and reduced your chances of landing wins. Sure, the 1,000x maximum win might look good at first glance, but Roulette players might want to look for something a bit less ‘mini’ if they’re hoping to walk away with substantial winnings.
